Formatting Markdown

This will briefly explain how I’m setting up the Markdown files for this site.

File Formatting

Use the name of the markdown file with hyphens for spaces, like digital-garden-markdown-format-guide.md.

In the Frontmatter, use the following:

1. title: Use Capitalization Like This
2. layout: post
3. date: 2025-05-10
4. tags: general

Markown Formatting

For Markdown, I start on the first line with a Header 1, which sort of acts like the page’s title. This doesn’t need to be the same as the actual Title for the page in HTML.

Then proceed with the rest of Markdown formatting like normal.
